Do you feel consumed by what to eat and when?

Are you stuck in the endless loop of guilt around food?

This is the place for you.

70% of Athletes have disordered eating

Eating disorders can wreck havoc on your life, leaving you feeling out of control. My goal is to help support athletes with eating disorders to regain control of their lives and performance.

Whether you are feeling stuck in a cycle of binge/purge behaviors or fear of how certain foods will impact your performance, I can help.

Eating disorders all look different from the outside. However, they all consist of vicious voices about food or your body that just won’t go away.

Tired of constant thoughts of food and guilt over what you are eating?

A forest of trees with the sun rising behind them in the Poconos in Pennsylvania.

I know how important it is to find someone that you feel connected too. So let me tell you a little bit about me.

Working with me, you will feel compassion, empathy, and support. I will challenge you to accomplish your goals according to the values that are most important to you.

Imagine standing at the starting line of your first ever race. Nerves feel different because you do not know exactly what is ahead of you. The fear of the unknown. You know that no matter what happens, you have the support next to you that will help you figure out how to navigate things when they get hard. You feel secure, yet somehow still nervous as the gun goes off and you start the race.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Eating disorder therapy is most effective when it addresses both behaviors around food and the deeper thoughts, emotions, and beliefs that maintain the disorder. Evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RODBT), and Exposure Response Therapy (ERP) can help individuals improve their relationship with food, body image, perfectionism, anxiety, and self-worth. However, best therapy depends on the person’s specific symptoms, age, personality, and goals, which is why treatment should always be individualized.

  • Eating disorder recovery looks different for everyone and depends on factors like how long the eating disorder has been present, the severity of symptoms, motivation for change, and the level of support someone has. Some people begin to feel better within a few months, while full recovery can take longer. Recovery is rarely a straight line, but with consistent support and treatment, long-term healing is possible.

  • Eating disorders are usually caused by a combination of factors rather than one single trigger. Common triggers can include dieting, body image concerns, sports performance pressure, perfectionism, anxiety, major life changes, bullying, trauma, social media, or stressful events. For many people, an eating disorder develops when several of these factors build over time. I call it “the perfect storm”.

  • Some common signs of an eating disorder include becoming very focused on food, calories, or weight; skipping meals or avoiding certain foods; feeling anxious or guilty after eating; withdrawing from social situations involving food. Mood changes, body image concerns, and increased perfectionism can also be warning signs.

  • We offer in-person therapy in Audubon, NJ as well as virtual therapy across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, Vermont, Arizona and New Jersey.

  • Currently we accept Aetna insurance and are out of network for all other insurances.
